Sunshine, Crowds and Charity: £95.05 Raised

Ballycastle Street Collection

Monday the 25th August 2025

The atmosphere at the Ould Lammas Fair, on Monday, was truly wonderful - the crowds just kept coming, and the weather was perfect.

While our volunteers couldn’t stay for the entire event - due to other commitments - the few hours that they did cover proved beyond exceptional, and the support we received was amazing - we raised an impressive £95.05 in just two and a half hours.

This sum will go a long way in supporting the costs associated with running our seasonal events. These events bring joy, hope and lasting memories to families and children living in some of the most socioeconomically disadvantaged communities in Northern Ireland.

We sincerely appreciated the opportunity - at the fair - to share an overview of the vital work undertaken by our Community Nurturing and Development Centre.

Our volunteers demonstrated exemplary commitment - not only through their fundraising efforts and their knowledge of our organisation and services, but also through their authentic engagement and the heartfelt connections that they fostered with families and individuals who came forward at the fair. Our doors are open to all, no matter where you’re coming from.

Some of our amazing volunteers. Off on a mission!

Every penny donated (whether by the bucket or online) brings us closer to making a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Don’t worry if you’ve missed the collection, you can still donate online here.

A Special Thank You!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to both our volunteers, and The Marine Hotel Ballycastle for supporting our volunteers during their time in Ballycastle - on Monday.

We take great pleasure in sharing publicity through our online channels and local press during events, particularly with businesses that share our passion for giving back. We believe in zero-cost fundraising, and partnering with businesses allows us to support our volunteers at no expense, while also promoting our organisation and highlighting the businesses that stand with us. This type of collaboration benefits everyone involved, and helps identify the companies that are genuinely committed to supporting community initiatives.
